Esuga Elderly Support Uganda (ESUGA) is a community-based organization committed to improving the wellbeing of elderly persons across Uganda. We work to address the social, economic, and health challenges that many senior citizens face, particularly those living in poverty, isolation, or vulnerable conditions.
In many communities, elderly persons struggle with limited access to healthcare, inadequate nutrition, financial insecurity, and reduced social support. ESUGA responds to these challenges through practical, community-driven interventions designed to restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and promote inclusion.
Our work is rooted in direct community engagement. By collaborating with local leaders, volunteers, families, and partner institutions, we ensure that support reaches elderly individuals who need it most. We prioritize transparency, accountability, and sustainability in all our programmes.
Beyond immediate assistance, ESUGA advocates for greater recognition and protection of elderly rights. We promote awareness on the importance of respecting, supporting, and including elderly persons in community life. Through dialogue and collaboration, we help build stronger systems of care that value the contributions and experiences of senior citizens.
As an organization guided by compassion and responsibility, ESUGA continues to expand its reach and strengthen partnerships to deliver meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of elderly persons.
