Mr. Abubakar Shemaran Mayanja serves as the Deputy Executive Director of Esuga Elderly Support Uganda (ESUGA), supporting strategic leadership, programme coordination, and institutional development. He works closely with the Executive Director to ensure effective implementation of organizational goals and community-based initiatives.

In his role, Mr. Mayanja oversees operational planning, stakeholder engagement, and programme supervision to ensure that interventions addressing health, food security, livelihoods, and elderly rights are delivered efficiently and sustainably. He contributes to strengthening partnerships and enhancing accountability structures that support ESUGA’s mission.

Mr. Mayanja, holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations from Sakariya University, Republic of Turkey. He has extensive  leadership experience stretching from Ahal Bayit Public Library, Hared Petrol Company Uganda, among others

Through his leadership, ESUGA continues to expand its outreach and reinforce systems that promote dignity and wellbeing for elderly persons across communities.
