Sheikh Hussein Kakaire serves as the Chairperson of the General Assembly at Esuga Elderly Support Uganda (ESUGA). In this role, he provides strategic leadership and governance oversight, ensuring that the organization upholds the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and impact in its mission to support vulnerable elderly communities.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Education from the Islamic Republic of Iran. His academic training has enabled him to combine faith-based values with practical community leadership to guide institutions and individuals toward positive social transformation. He has experience of over 25 years of professional service. He has built an outstanding career as a teacher, Islamic scholar (Sheikh), and mentor, dedicating his life to education, moral leadership, and community empowerment.
As Chairperson of the General Assembly, he provides strategic direction, policy guidance, and institutional oversight to ESUGA’s leadership and programs. His leadership ensures that ESUGA remains aligned with its mission while strengthening partnerships with communities, leaders, and development stakeholders. Sheikh Kakaire is widely recognized for his wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. His leadership philosophy is grounded on compassion, accountability, and community responsibility values that continue to shape ESUGA’s vision.
