Ms. Lailah Nakitto, oversees ESUGA’s financial management, budgeting and grants administration. Her role includes financial reporting, grant tracking, and strengthening internal financial systems to maintain transparency and accountability in programme delivery.
In her current position, Ms. Nakitto oversees financial planning, grants management, budgeting, compliance, and reporting in line with donor requirements and compliance with national regulatory standards. She ensures prudent utilization of resources to support ESUGA’s core programs and access to essential needs for elderly persons. Her leadership strengthens transparency and accountability, which are central to ESUGA’s core values and professional standards.
Ms. Nakitto is a professional accountant, she holds a Diploma in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting, Major) and a Bachelors Degree in Education from the Islamic University in Uganda. Her professional experience spans for over 15 years, managing finances in Schools and Hotels in Uganda.
Ms. Nakitto is passionate about aligning financial systems with ESUGA’s mission of improving the health, dignity, and socio-economic wellbeing of elderly persons. Through effective financial stewardship and partnership engagement, she continues to support sustainable programming that contributes to improved quality of life and inclusive development for older persons in Uganda.
