Head of Communications and Advocacy

Mrs. Nakyeyune Sumayyah serves as the Head of Communications and Advocacy at Elderly Support Uganda (ESUGA). In this role, she leads the organization’s communication vision, public engagement strategies, and advocacy campaigns aimed at promoting dignity, protection, and support for elderly communities. Her work focuses on building strong relationships with government leaders, development partners, civil society organizations, and community networks to advance sustainable solutions for elderly welfare.

Mrs. Nakyeyune, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kyambogo University, with more than five years of professional experience in communication, community engagement, and social advocacy. She plays a central role in shaping ESUGA’s institutional messaging, strengthening stakeholder relations, and ensuring that the organization’s mission reaches both national and international audiences.

Mrs. Nakyeyune oversees strategic communications, media relations, digital outreach, partnerships, and advocacy programs that influence policy dialogue and mobilize support for vulnerable elderly populations.  Mrs. Nakyeyune believes that effective communication is a powerful tool for transforming communities and driving meaningful social change. Through her leadership, ESUGA continues to expand its visibility, strengthen its impact, and inspire collective action toward creating a society where elderly citizens are respected, protected, and supported.
